Smeagull the Seagull with a Sanddab
About Smeagull the Seagull
Smeagull the Seagull is a real live wild herring gull. He is the Official Mascot of Friends of Steward B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge.
Like all herring gulls, Smeagull is highly intelligent and versatile. He feeds on a great variety of wild foods including small fish, insects, shellfish, crustaceans (like crabs and shrimp) and for greens an occasional taste of seaweed. If it is edible and not too big, Smeagull can catch it and eat it.

About This Guide
Smeagull, like all gulls, can see better than we humans can and he can fly, which means he can go wherever he wants whenever he wants. And in flight, he has the advantage of a Bird’s Eye View! The reason we call this guide Smeagull’s Guide to Wildlife is that it lets you see through Smeagull the Seagull’s eyes.
